1. EVERY FRIDAY The Pegasos Bar and Restaurant, Karaoglanoglu, 3km west of Kyrenia, next to Lemar Supermarket.
The market used to be out in the country but now it is surrounded by buildings but still maintains the same friendly atmosphere. Here you will find home made cakes, books and various pieces, and a great place to meet expats who have been here for years. One of the expat groups, The British Resident Society, has an information point for newcomers.
The first ever small market set up by British vendors to sell goods, meet and chat. The market is set in the garden of the Pegasus Bar and Restaurant.
Market is open from 9am to 1pm.
2. EVERY FRIDAY The Carpenters Bar and Restaurant Friday Market is similar to Pegasus and is one kilometer further in the direction of Kyrenia towards Lapta road.
Stalls are set up in the garden of Carpenters Bar, and include homemade pickles, jams etc. from organic products grown in a small village on the way to Guzelyurt. Other stalls sell crafts, clothing, and there are a couple of charity stalls.
On occasions tickets can be bought for forthcoming productions of special nights put on by expats, such as amateur drama productions, special dance nights etc.
Come enjoy a great welcoming atmosphere and a chance to sit in the sun and have a cuppa and cake.
Market is open from 10am to 1pm.
3. EVERY SATURDAY - Chateau Lambousa, Lapta (approx 6 km west of Kyrenia)
This is the largest and most popular market with stalls in the grounds of what was once a hotel and where events still happen (including an amateur drama and choral group giving performances. Sometimes 100 stalls are tightly packed in the outdoor garden area, where a small cafe gives you a chance to sit and recover before tackling the stalls, several of which raise money for charity.
An excellent of goods available, clothes, plants, books, jewellery, paintings, framing service, British Residents Information Centre, carpets, and much more.
Market is open from 10.00a.m. to 2.30p.m.
4. EVERY SATURDAY - Moon over the Water, Iskele (on the south coast between Salamis and Bogaz)
A small market of stalls selling crafts and general goods in the front of a popular restaurant set on the beach. Special fairs are held at Easter and Christmas.
Market is open from 10.00a.m. to 3.00p.m.
5. EVERY SUNDAY - Karakum Sunday Market (at the Star Bowling Centre, Karakum) about 2km east of Kyrenia town centre.
There are about 20 stalls and a small cafe with many of the stall holders from Lambousa Market, but selling a good cross section of second hand goods and homemade food.
Market is open from 9.00a.m. to 1.00p.m.
6. EVERY SUNDAY - Pembegul Garden Centre (next to the K-Pet petrol station between Bellapais traffic lights and Bellapais Roundabout east of Kyrenia town centre.
Set in the grounds of a Garden Centre this small market is friendly and close to the Karakum Sunday Market, so could be worth visiting the two for different stalls and variety of possible purchase.

7. EVERY SUNDAY - Buyukkonuk Sunday Market , Karpaz.
Buyukkonuk is the flag ship for eco-tourism villages and now has a market organised by the Eco-Tourism Assn, selling local goods in the village centre, in front of the old Greek Church and close to a coffee shop. Very popular as it is the only one to be found in the heart of the Karpaz. Very much off the beaten track and full of Cypriot charm.
Market is open from 11.00a.m. to 4.00p.m.
