Karavas Traditional House consists of two individual self-catering apartment-type units within a characteristically Cypriot house that was fully renovated in early 2012. In August 2012 the property opened to guests.  The renovation work, together with the furnishings and decorations, has been done in a tasteful way to preserve the old traditional Cypriot style of the property.  The entire building and garden area are completely in-keeping with the surrounding village.

The house, although close to the heart of the village, is in a very quiet area. The owner’s parents live in close vicinity and will be happy to welcome you to the village  with that ever-famous Cypriot hospitality.  A special traditional breakfast will be served on your first morning when you are staying 5 days or longer.

The Karavas Traditional Houseis situated inthe village of Alsancak. There are several good restaurants and barsas well as super-markets with a wide food-rangeon offer. It is only  a 10-15 minute drive to some good beaches (e.g. DenizKizi Hotel, Mare Monte Beach).

There are numerous restaurants and bars in the local area, including some very popular traditional Cypriot/Turkish restaurants (e.g. Cenaps) and kebab places as well as some restaurants which serve international cuisines.

Nearby places of interest include Kyrenia Castle and Harbour, St. Hilarion Castle, andBellapais Abbey.

The Karavas Traditional House is the perfect accommodation for those who want to get the taste of village life at the same time as not being too far away from more lively areas like Kyrenia harbour.
