The Karpaz Farm Hotel has arguably one of the best views of all our guesthouse accommodations in the Karpaz. Each of the four bedrooms opens out onto a shared veranda which looks out from the edge of Dipkarpaz over to arable fields and rolling hills. This would certainly be the place to enjoy breakfast on a morning or a glass of wine in the early evening.
Although this guesthouse is on the outer edge of the Dipkarpaz village, it is still just a short walk (5-8 minutes) from several local food shops and also about a 10-12 minute walk from the Manolyam Restaurant which serves traditional Turkish and Cypriot cuisine.
Each bedroom at this guesthouse is quite spacious and has high, beamed ceilings. As a renovated farmhouse each of the bedrooms are decorated in a modern farmhouse-style with wooden and iron-wrought furniture. Three of the rooms are family-sized rooms and have extra single beds for children. This is really a great place to stay for families with younger children as the guesthouse is also a small working farm so there are lots of things going on for them to watch and get involved in – including collecting eggs for breakfast from the 40 farm chickens.
The family who own the Karpaz Farm Hotel are keen to keep the traditional farming and village culture of the Karpaz region alive, and as well as their own small farm and garden they have their own outdoor stone oven which they use to make bread twice a week for guests and the family.
The Karpaz Farm Hotel offers a lovely indoor restaurant (outdoor seating available also) where guests can try traditional Turkish and Cypriot cuisines often made from food gathered from the family’s own small farm. There are several outdoor seating areas including the veranda which looks out over the stunning views of the Karpaz landscape and there is another seating area under a large tree near the traditional stone oven.
